Oboe Concerto Masterclass

Unlock your Soloist Voice

I’m performing the Ruth Gipps Oboe Concerto with the Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra on October 11!  Will you join me?

We'll meet the day after the performance for an in-person oboe concerto masterclass!

This is designed for oboists who want to feel more confident in performance and want to explore concerto repertoire with a pianist.

Standing up in front of the orchestra is a happy place for me, but many people get intimidated when they think of soloing. I’ll demystify the process, and help you to open up your approach.

This friendly all-levels experience includes a ticket to the concert and admission to the Saturday masterclass. If you are chosen to play, a piano accompanist will be provided. Depending on enrollment, we might even do two sessions Saturday!

We can create a safe place for experimenting, and I will help you to find your SOLOIST voice!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Notre Dame Football weekend. Hotels in South Bend are uncharacteristically expensive and will fill up fast.  More affordable nearby towns include St Joseph MI, Valparaiso IN, or Shipshewana IN - all of which are 45-60 minutes away.  I regret this inconvenience!

Taught by Jennet Ingle: The Five Minute Reedmaker on YouTube, the Unfussy Oboist, author of The Happiest Musician - and creator of The Invincible Oboist.

Join me for a weekend that can change your oboe life!
